Tolardo family, originally from Lamon, a charming village in the province of Belluno, arrived in Ponte di Piave, where the farm is still located, in 1921. They purchased the first plot of land, and started to grow grain and grapevine. Than, thanks to will and passion of father Severino, since 1956, they began to make wine, and this is the way in which our family “Azienda Agricola Tolardo Severino” was born. This precious farming know how, handed down from generation to generation, joined with the most modern enological technique, today allows us to offer a wide selection of D.O.C. and I.G.T. wines, either bottled or cask. Our location, Ponte di Piave in the province of Treviso, is only 40 km far from Venice Lagoon, and 10 km far from the historical city of Oderzo, in a territory modelled, feeded and enriched by Piave River, in the middle of D.O.C. Piave and D.O.C. Prosecco Areas. The terrain is naturally well-stocked in clay and “caranto” (an extremely nutrient type of Pleistocene paleosol), high suitable for wine-growing and–making, so that our wines are rich in personality, taste and flavour. The actual leader of “Azienda Agricola Tolardo Severino” is Francesco, Severino son, bent on continuing his father fond tradition of will and passion, quality and respect for the territory. Just passion, is the common core of our wine-maker family: joined with territory, climate and grape, it allows us to discover and produce great wines, that reflect character, taste and soul of our region.
